Analysis of the impact of the ruling by the Inter-American Court of Human Rights in the case "Oroya vs. Peru" on environmental law in Latin America, highlighting the challenges for sustainable development faced by the State and companies, with parallels to the legal system of Argentina. The right to a healthy environment as a human right derived from the American Convention on Human Rights. The necessity for an eco-centered approach to environmental protection, intergenerational solidarity and greater international cooperation in the face of climate change.
